Andi Sullivan Added to USWNT Roster for Victory Tour matches

News Release, Washington Spirit

CHICAGO (Sept. 30, 2019) – Washington Spirit midfielder Andi Sullivan has been added to the U.S. Women’s National Team roster for the two upcoming matches against the Korea Republic on the 2019 Victory Tour.

Sullivan has had an excellent season with the Spirit, starting all 22 of the Spirit’s matches this season and playing the maximum amount of minutes. Sullivan wore the captain’s armband for the first time this year as she was named Team Captain during preseason camp.

Sullivan has 11 caps with the USWNT and will look to add more during the Victory Tour as World Cup participants recover from heavy workloads from this summer’s World Cup and the NWSL Season. Sullivan was one of the final players cut from Jill Ellis’ squad before the start of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Spirit now have three players with the USWNT as Sullivan joins Spirit teammates Rose Lavelle and Mallory Pugh on the national team roster.

The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup champions will finish up the 2019 Victory Tour when they take on Korea Republic on Thursday, Oct. 3, at Bank of American Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. (7:30 p.m. ET; FS1, the FOX Sports App and TUDN) and Sunday, Oct. 6 at Soldier Field in Chicago (1 p.m. CT on ESPN and the ESPN App).
