A desire to help Brisbane Roar land the Westfield W-League title has convinced Carson Pickett to return to the club for the 2019/20 Season.
The American defender has played the last two seasons with Roar, helping the club to consecutive top-two finishes.
But on both occasions the side has fallen short of the Grand Final, convincing the 26-year-old to re-sign with Roar for the third year.
“I feel like there’s unfinished business here,” Pickett told Roar’s official website.
“We’re all so ready to get back together chasing that goal that we set three years ago, ahead of my first season, and longer for many of the others.
“There’s a core group of players that have been here together for the last few years – that’s special to have that group and great to keep adding world-class players.”
Pickett, who has become a fan favorite over the last two seasons, is the 16th signing to Jake Goodship’s squad.
She joins the club after playing another strong season in the NWSL alongside Alanna Kennedy and Emily van Egmond at Orlando Pride.
As well as having a keen eye for goal, Pickett has played every game since making her Roar debut in the opening round of the 2017/18 Season.
“I’m super excited, I love coming to Australia and my heart is here in Brisbane,” she said.
“We’ve got a great squad and I just can’t wait for the season to start.”
