National Women’s Soccer League Players Association host “Journey to the Pros” panel

The Panel will take place at the United Soccer Coaches Convention. It will be hosted by the NWSLPA in partnership with US Youth Soccer.

Baltimore, Maryland (January 14, 2020) – The National Women’s Soccer League Players Association, in partnership with US Youth Soccer, will be hosting a Speaker Panel this Friday, January 7. The panel will be taking place during the United Soccer Coaches Convention.  Entitled “Journey to the Pros” the event will be moderated by Jordan Angeli with Tori Huster, Tyler Lussi, and Katherine Reynolds as panelists. 

Angeli is a former professional soccer player, who featured for the Boston Breakers, the Washington Spirit and the Western New York Flash.  She now works as a soccer analyst and TV host for the Colorado Rapids.

Huster is a professional who is currently the longest-serving member of the Washington Spirit.  She has 142 Spirit appearances, making her one of the highest capped NWSL players off all time. The Florida State graduate has also played several spells for W-League side the Newcastle Jets, most recently in the 2017-18 season.

Tyler Lussi is a three-year veteran of the Portland Thorns, having joined the team in 2017.  She went on to make 32 appearances for the club.  The Princeton graduate won a championship in her inaugural year with the Thorns and was runner-up in 2018.  

Katherine Reynolds started her professional career with WPS club the Philadelphia Independence in 2010 before moving on to the Atlanta Beat in 2011.  Following the shutdown of the WPS, she played her soccer for a year with Frauen-Bundesliga side SC Freiburg.  She returned to the United States with the creation of the NWSL playing two seasons with the Western New York Flash, one season with the Washington Spirit and the last four seasons with the Portland Thorns, making 132 NWSL appearances total.  Reynolds also spent one offseason on loan to W-League side the Newcastle Jets.

The panel will take from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM EST, on January 17th, 2020 in room 336 at the Baltimore Convention Center.  Registration information for the United Soccer Coaches Convention can be found here.
